Three student flats in Turin

2013-2014

A. Accotto

The aim of the project is to tranform two flats located in a 19th century building into three student flats. The building has a masonry structure with very thin and elegant vaults. The existing technical installations have deteriorated and fail to meet the safety and comfort standards. As a consequence, the project consists of a substantial refurbishment.

The clients want flexible flats with solid fixtures and fittings, together with a reduced budget. Working with the partition walls and exploiting the existing passages in the weight-bearing central wall, the project consists of three flats with different dimensions, where common areas are located towards the inner courtyard and bedrooms face the boulevard. Neutral and relaxing colours in the interior leave space for the imagination of future tenants.
